thanks for the birthday wishes!

had my interview finally yesterday and it went super well. sounds like they may indeed have a very nice interesting gig for me there. going to have to formally apply and stuff to see what the offer is.

cool part is they warned they do personality tests, skill tests, etc, which i thought was neat and interesting, as it helps the company weed out useless idiots and proves to me in some sense they are really trying to build a great company.

Sounds like the dumb test they made me take when I was getting a job at target when I was 19. Only the most deranged and idiotic can't pass it. It was stupid corporate BS.

I did a side gig as part of someones Masters Thesis (group of 20) where as part of it there was a 3 hr personality test. I picked myself out of the anonymized results cause the readings were way outside the norm.

when i applied to work overnights at toysrus they had us all in for a group interview with every position and they didnt really like it when i basically said "all this stuff doesnt matter when im applying to work here when the store is closed to the public to stock shelves"

Apparently not a great test if you made it through

I remember that! But I remember very clearly overthinking things, like the 'do you believe people are generally good or generally nefarious' thing -- like if you think people are generally good, maybe you seem naive. But if you think people are generally not good, what does that say about you? lots of people think they are the norm, and so if you think everyone steals/lies/cheats then that kinda sounds like either you do as well, OR you're some kind of narcissist who thinks they're above most of the population.

I like this answer, and hifive for the overnight crew homies. I did the 4AM shift at target and I still have nightmares from time to time, that shit sucked hard. But I also had an awful team lead who blatantly hated men, rare occasion I've ever seen it firsthand

happy bday @riceburner and that's rad about the job prospective
