Going big on the deductible is the way to go. Going from $500 to $1000 saved me like $350 a year. 18 months without an accident and it pays for itself, all profit after that.

Yea, I'm at $1k right now and I looked at reducing both the comprehensive and collision deductible to $500. Each one added about $100 every 6 months, so it would have been another $400 a year.

Gotta pinch the pennies now! I downloaded GasBuddy a couple weeks ago. I barely get over 200 miles on a tank of gas. I'm at about 115ish miles on this current tank and its so close to half a tank, it's just a little bit over. It gets about 2/3rds of the gas mileage my R got.

I did actually end up finding a gas station that's a lot more convenient and 30-40 cents cheaper per gallon compared to the Shell I normally go to.

I think I've heard of people running 91. I don't think I have 91 around here though. There might be a few gas stations that have it, but they generally go from 87 and 89 to 93. I guess just going from 93 to 91 you lose about 20hp.

If my auto focus on my camera is fucked is that typically a camera issue or a lens issue?

fucked how? like AF works if you let it do its thing, but it doesn't look focused in the viewfinder? or vice versa?

could try to adjust your diopter (lil knob on the side of the viewfinder) to see if that helps. matching up an optical viewfinder with what the LCD screen is telling you can sometimes be a lil fucky, especially if you wear glasses.
otherwise, I know some lenses have issues with front or back focusing. Usually only cheaper lenses have that problem. Some lenses, like Sigma, give the end user the ability to tune the focus and get rid of front/back focusing.

It's been fucky for a long time. It doesn't do anything at all. The focus is switched to auto and when I do that first half press to take a picture it won't adjust anything. It won't take a picture because it's not focused but it also won't focus itself. Sometimes I can mess around with it and get it working again, but it's never permanent and always kinda finnicky. I was doing a manual focus yesterday, but I'm not used to doing it that way.
