If you get a Toyota, get pre-COVID. After 2020, their quality is appalling, and their quality control is worse. I have several hundred new Toyotas in my fleet, they're awful. If I were shopping that size SUV, I'd go for a 2020 Explorer with a 2019 build date and the 2.3 turbo. Well built, reliable, fun to drive, and lots of room.

Mazdas with the 2.5 Skyactiv stuff are crazy reliable, and they're more entertaining to drive. My 2 cents. But that would limit you to the CX-5 as the biggest option, I think.
