yeah if i could learn to hell-toe that would be cool. but i dont generally mind taking my foot off the brake momentarily to revmatch downshift.

Saturday is our first event, so we'll see how recent mods change the feel of the car

I've got a creaky strut mount (apparently they don't like sitting for a couple years waiting to be used, it works but I don't love the noises it makes so I've gotta order another one), really noisy brakes (I reused rotors with new HP Plus pads and I'm regretting it, so now I've got new rotors and brake hardware on the way that I'll change friday night) and I'm getting the car aligned and brake fluid changed (fresh RBF600, woo!). Yellows are set near full soft with a mild spring that I ran with the oranges before, and I'm still up in the air about if I want to run my new RPF1/RT660 combo or the old OEM wheels + season old RT660s, it's supposed to be a bit chilly and rainy.

Heel-toe is something I've not been great at, but I'm alright at revmatching now. Our courses are typically not fast enough to warrant going up to third or down to first, though the Pocono courses will invite third gear to the party from time to time, but I'm not competitive there as it is, because I swear the whole region is aliens with telekinetic tire powers.

Those hideous things are just on the GTI. The R looks so much better than the GTI.

ngl this is highly entertaining to me with big macho man types with trucks.

though I'm 6'2 and my buddy had a lifted Ranger that was difficult for me to get into, that was fun because it was a tiny tiny truck and I'd yell 'fuck you I'm big' at everything because I wasn't used to people moving for my vehicle
