trust me when i say $225k for a season of racing all-in at the proish level is insanely cheap.

like you dont have to worry about tires, fuel, spares, damage, transport, anything.

also I have no idea how to select autocross lines for a FWD car, I should probably look for youtube videos to help me learn better
Post your vids and I'll help. Autox is all about trail braking, deciding which corners to throw away to set yourself up for the next which can be faster. And managing weight transfer

Thanks! I'll upload some when I get to my home PC.

left foot braking is something I haven't been doing at all thusfar, I started in mid 2018 and so I've been trying to nail down the basics. I'm more than a little pleased with myself though that I'm competitive with some NA Miatas with talented drivers, in a FWD hatch that's far from built to the class.

Also regardless of which trans, left foot braking is key to being fast in autox.

I'm actively watching autocross tutorials/videos now because I want to learn, I've been doing everything by feel up to this point

so far I've learned that I've been going about a lot of things very wrong, and I have no idea why what I've been doing works in the slightest. This is a good thing, because it means I'm open for learning more

my left foot only knows how to do clutch at the moment, which is somewhat problematic when the same motion is applied to the brake pedal. Definitely a thing I'll have to work on.

Practice on the street before trying at autox lol

It's very hard to learn if you drive a manual especially one with a heavy clutch. Training your left foot to apply different pressures depending on pedal takes tons of practice to get any sort of muscle memory
