Decent weekend.
Local pet rescue place hosted a "puppy playdate" for some chow chow puppies that had been abandoned. $5 or $10 suggested donation, ezpz no brainer. We played with the floofballs for a bit and then went to see what other dogs they had - baaaaad idea. There was a beautiful girl that looked like our dog but smaller. She was very timid and stressed in her cage, but was super receptive to me -- cue the Sarah McLachlan music.
If we didn't have to worry about a landlord, we would've walked out of there with another dog. To make things worse, at first we thought she must be really new as GF didn't recognize her from the shelter's social media posts. After some digging we learned that she's been in the shelter for a bit and at one point had an adopter, but they backed out.

From there we went up to the brewery and hung out for a bit. Wasn't too busy so we had the upstairs room basically to ourselves and had one of our preferred bartenders up there with us. Listened to
Skatune Network and chatted about the food+bev scene in Portland ME for like two hours, was pretty fun. Ordered Thai for dinner.
Had the house to myself yesterday, didn't do anything, went to bed at like 7:30
