No, my issue is, I can't figure out which side is toe out/in... they look identical (both at just about zero toe) when I do the string method around the car... I need calipers to get more preciseSorry I skimmed earlier but you said your toe is off and that's why you can't adjust the inner tie rods?
I have had great luck with my Tenhulzen Toe/Camber plates. No, my issue is, I can't figure out which side is toe out/in... they look identical (both at just about zero toe) when I do the string method around the car... I need calipers to get more precise
Do you put your car on some stands where you can get underneath the car while the wheels are still loaded?I have had great luck with my Tenhulzen Toe/Camber plates.
It’s considerably faster than setting up a string box. I can have my toe set within a 1/32” in 15 minutes or less. If I spend another 10 minutes to drive and make sure the steering wheel is perfectly straight then my OCD is much happier.
I’ve gotten very proficient at this over the past year or two.
Car stays on the ground. There is plenty of room to adjust the outer tie rods with the wheels cut all the way. Having someone in the drivers seat to run the steering wheel for you, cuts the time considerably.Do you put your car on some stands where you can get underneath the car while the wheels are still loaded?
My OCD is fucking killing me...
The way I do it is, string tied between a bottle of coolant and a bottle of oil... I put em from back to front wheel, tighten the slack, and check to see the toe... Then lift the car... make a few turns or whatever... roll back/forward or drive it around... check again... repeat
It's much more tedious now that our garage is smaller and I can't roll it back/forward, or get any work done if my roommate is parked in as well... I had to go and do it at a big stadium parking lot in the TX heat... it fucking sucked lol
Ok wizard...Car stays on the ground. There is plenty of room to adjust the outer tie rods with the wheels cut all the way. Having someone in the drivers seat to run the steering wheel for you, cuts the time considerably.

My garage floor is that nice, slick cement. You know........the kind that wants you to break your neck any time there is a single drop of water on it? My tires just squeak a bit, but turn smoothly on it.This.
I do park the front wheels on a set of plastic place mats so they turn easier.
Coke deals are a lot nicer than movies make them seem.Had food catered from Fressa's for an office visit we're hosting for a colombian delegation
