I've decided to just get stupid with it. Invest in memes, crypto, and dumb stocks for a profit. I'm up 2-3x what I put in and just started a couple weeks ago.
The most likely out come for the rich, historically, depends on whether it's right or left wing populism that takes hold.
Right wing populism, some will get even richer, but the government will kill off or strip the wealth of any rich person that doesn't go along with the plan of their wealth. See Russian oligarchs accidently falling out of windows repeatedly. They also eventually fail, as competent people are killed off or forced out, and replaced with loyal incompetents.
Left wing, their wealth is stripped and nationalized, but no one life gets better, because the US sanctions them and they put unqualified morons in place to manage these nationalized industries. Again, loyalty trumps competence and it fails.
Very rarely does populism work out.
Yes. Yes I have. Look at South Korea for example. It took 6 hours from the President declaring marital law for parliament to convene, vote unanimously to lift it, and the President to comply.
Do you really think that's how it would go down here? Our branches of the government can't even unanimously agree that "Nazi's are bad".
That's not over in South Korea and it's about the damage to institutions that's happening globally.

We stripped away the social safety net for the last 70 years. The next great depression when they eating dirt and yard weeds soup, thickened with news paper, like they did in the first great depression, they'll come to their senses and figure out the billionaires are their friends.
This sums up my feelings on the matter perfectly.
But in the countries around the globe where this is happening, like Germany, South Korea, France, Brazil, Ecuador, is half the population of those countries cheering for the corrupt billionaire politicians?
That's a legit question, I don't know what the sentiment among the common people is like in those countries.

Ceding Ukraine to Russia, pulling out of Nato, which will be the next step, flooding media with misinformation to break down trust in the courts, federal agencies, etc....
It's all part of the playbook and has repeated over and over throughout history.
