I mean... It works so there's that....But I can tell you that no trained tech is doing it this way. The "right" way is to just remove the axle and lower control arm out of the way and it'll come right out. You're putting hella stress on both your control arm and axle using this method. Takes less than 5 mins to remove the axle and control arm, I don't know why people mess around with 2x4's etc. To each their own though.

I tried talking Woodski into our lord and savior 2x4 method.
But he was all "I'll just remove the axle, how hard can it be?"
I added JL speakers. All good. The rest works exactly as it should every time.The shitty infotainment in the Rabbit should be a crime. And not cheap to upgrade.
