Cyl 5?Visited audi mechanic buddy yesterday to do my brakes. Was a good time; found out both rear calipers were siezed so couldnt do rear brakes, but did discover a hubcentric ring was keeping the rear wheel from being 100% on right. Made it up to 150 on the way home with no shuddering which was great because it used to shudder alot at 80 lol.
Anyway some fun projects; an rs3 blew out a cylinder. A b8.5 s4 had 3 bad injectors. And i love the look of tarmacs on a b5. I want them.

Do you really need rear jack pads?? Sounds like dead weight on a race car.so last night I changed out my failed Koni on the Mazda, I got home at 3:30 and everything was buttoned up by 6:30 for dinner. Not too bad, but after changing 9 Konis in 3 weeks I think I've had enough for a bit. Still have a TON of noise from the HP Plus brakes, it sounds like that's just the game I've chosen to play. Brake fluid flush is next because the pedal feels a bit spongey, but otherwise the car feels good. I'm pretty proud though, I don't normally do projects during the week on the car I need to drive for work BUT knocked this out on a thursday night. It's a long way from waiting til the weekend to change oil because who knows what could go wrong.
GTI still doesn't have the rear jack point pads installed, they're a real snug fit and just did not seem to want to go into place. I'm thinking maybe I need to add weight to the rear end and grease them with Super Lube, and/or try putting them in the freezer. 35000 miles on it so I'm also gonna have to do the VAQ service now that it's warmed up, but that's definitely not going to be a thing for this weekend. Gonna go to DE with a buddy for a Tire Rack pickup and get lobster rolls along the way, so that'll be a nice opportunity to hang with an IRL bro and get some time in with the GTI.
The jack pads are on the GTI, racecar is the Mazda. I kinda bounce between working on both of them, because I still haven't learned my lesson about daily driving a (semi) project. And let's be honest, y'all are my company through the day so I kind of just post about whatever here.Do you really need rear jack pads?? Sounds like dead weight on a race car.
