The funniest case of this was former mk6 OG Lamb. Had a big turbo golf R with the bells and whistles. When he found out his GF was pregnant he panicked and put his R up for sale same day, sold right away and he had a minivan a few days later. Then he had the kid and sold the minivan after a month and bought a stock gti.

Mazda FTW. Had to move my wife's coworker's CRV in our driveway, the pedal is like a lightswitch. Either not able to move with foot off the brake but no gas, OR slightest touch of the gas and it's trying to AWD burnout into my garage door. Tbh it explains a fair amount about her driving though.

3rd row is typically only usable by small children. Minivans are the best for that.

get a fuckin CRV or RAV4 or Highlander.

thats your options
This seems logical to me, with the addition of whatever the Mazda equivelent is.

Is the CRV the current gen? My wife's is a 2022 and does not drive this way at all. It actually feels a lot like my GTI, just with less oomph. Ours is not AWD though. I do agree on the having to give it gas though. I'm used to the GTI where I can put it in reverse and just go backwards with no input.

no no, her driving explains the pedal response. it learns.

she drives it like a light switch so it adapted to her.

Absolutely devastated right now. There's a tick coming from the timing cover on idle. Why the fuck did this have to happen when I'm 900 miles from either home???
I'll spare you the details, if you want to get full update, just check my build thread (writing that now)
