I ordered tires for my te37 reps that I haven't ordered yet. I got an amazing deal on the tires and I was offered a really good deal on the wheels. I was saying I wasn't going to do this for a while, but I feel like with the prices I'm paying I couldn't miss this chance.

What TE37 reps are you getting?

I'm going to make an educated guess those are very overpriced AliBaba wheels.

But to be fair, I'm pretty cynical and think that about most things these days.

Edit: I'm basing my assumption on the fact that ORT Motorsports doesn't look like a huge operation. Meaning, someone is making those wheels for them since I doubt they're making them themselves. The amount of configurable options (12 colors, 4 fitments, over 40 specs, and the choice of ball\cone bolts) look very familiar to the options available for wheels on AliBaba. Plus, that's almost 4,000 different wheel combinations. I highly doubt they're stocking every single configuration. My guess would be these guys since you can find most of those styles in their store.

Just bridgestone potenzas. Same tires that are on the car. Tirerack still has a closeout special on those tires so it was $666 shipped for a set of 4 265/30/19 tires. I'll get better tires next time.

It's the wheel company for ORT Motorsport. They've been around since 2008, but their wheel business is relatively new.

Forged vs cast. I think. At least, I know the Rotas aren't forged.

I'm not against reps. I had TE37 reps on my GTI. But $2800 for reps is bananas, forged or not.

And I wouldn't even call them reps. To me, the defining characteristic of a "rep" is something trying to pass off as something else. Sure, it's the same design\style. But it's not engraved "Volk". It doesn't have the signature stickers. But that's just my opinion on the topic.

Obligatory:
