200 miles hwy going with the flow @ 75. 20 miles through Newport 1/2 congested beach traffic other 1/2 regular roads doing 40, 20 minutes 1st/2nd gear hwy construction on way home

35.7 mpg according to car. Mine is accurate as I have tweaked it.

7 years/65k and I'm still impressed with it

CSB: after several months of getting back into running, building up distance and speed, I've started going to a local run club recently. Pretty cool except for the part where 1) I'm the heaviest guy there 2) I'm the slowest runner there 3) I have a hard time introducing myself/trying to socialize with "randos." But been putting in the miles and feeling decent and that's something.

@aspro_gti how is your run club adventure going? Definitely looks like it would be an ok way to meet attractive people

as part of Newport next door to The Breakers which is one of the Historical Mansions is a private house. Parked outside what I assume is their Carriage house is a Bentley convertible and a Ferrari (IDK which but assume $400K+) . Made me wonder what was inside it.

No pics cause I value privacy

Yup, it's definitely okay. These are all people who have clearly been fit and doing this for a while. I had been sedentary and started "running" again in February. All about perspectives and goals yanno
I've been running for 11 years now. Didn't really start until I was 29 and coming up on 41 in November. I'm still in the middle and more towards the back of the pack. I have just come to grips with the fact that I'll never be a fastie, but don't really care. I offset that with doing more trail endurance events. They're more fun to me because there's a lot of logistical planning with elevation change, aid station planning, hydration, fueling, etc. I basically go into them not giving a shit about beating other people, but just finishing in under the cutoff time or PR-ing if I do the race every year.
