There's a Buc-ee's not far off the route at Birmingham, too. If you're in need of a break before the airbnb that might be a good play. Everyone needs to experience Buc-ee's at least once.

Careful with the speed in VA. Highway patrol doesn't have anything better to do than bother you. In my experience Virginia and Missouri are the worst states for this.

If you start getting really tired there's no shame in pulling over and taking a power nap. Better to make it there an hour later than not at all.

I’ll vouch for Missouri having some over vigilant traffic Nazis.

12 points in 18 months after my second deployment. This is why I stopped riding motorcycles……you meet lots of cops when you ride the twisty roads with not much advance warning that they’re coming at you.
