The southern route, across AL, MS, and LA seems interesting... it only adds 30min to the trip.
If I dog it on day 2 from Harrisonburg VA to Jackson MS (12 hours), it would leave me with only 8.5ish hours to get from MS to Austin, which sets up a nice third day.
I just don't know if I could do 12 hours... that's 7am to 7pm driving. Add some rests and it becomes 9pm arrival easily.
But Jackson is a city that you would recommend to overnight in? @likkleindian @Saabingti

I wouldn't want to spend any time in Jackson. But if it's just overnight I'm sure you can find somewhere decent. I worked in MS about 2 years ago south of Jackson and everyday there was something on the news about Jackson. It is always also considered one of the most dangerous cities.

I had ESC and all safety stuff off, not sure what else to turn off.

Possibly reactivated from radar “reading” cones as obstacles during your runs? I can definitely vouch for that being an issue until I covered the front radar.

CSB: The delay from Badgeskins is purely comical now. 6 weeks and counting waiting for a small order to ship. I don't know how they stay in business with such an enormous delay like this. Not to mention the $12 charge to mail 2 tiny stickers.

I bought a decent sized order from them last year. 8 weeks from order to delivery. The front and rear emblems, along with the headlight brows, were very hard to work with. The yellow fog light covers wouldn’t stick to a completely clean lens.

Those Canadians can keep their half assed decals. I was t happy with the quality at all. I was almost pissed off enough to file a dispute with my credit card company. But for $120 worth of useless stickers, I decided to just try and keep other from making the same mistake.

I have not been to Jackson. I did have some coworkers who came from the plant down there and they lived there just fine. You should be able to find something for overnight.

The nice thing about that southern route was that there were fairly evenly spaced cities/towns and some variety in the scenery. I remember the Memphis to Dallas leg of my drive down there being brown and flat and paint-drying boring.

No, but I had ESC reactivate a bunch on track. I did notice that one of my AutoX runs was spoiled by the ESC reactivating.

I’m just playing devils advocate. It could be ESC killing your fun and freaking out the VAQ, even if it’s not flashing on the dash. If you can get a parking lot to simulate an AutoX run, I’d suggest covering your front radar and see if the car performs better.

I could be completely wrong, but it won’t hurt anything for you to try it out…….…..except for some foil wrappers and masking tape.

The GT4 I heard a couple weeks ago was pretty lame. Very monotone. No growl or anything. Just a flat noise kinda like a 4 cyl.
