I can't imagine being a shop owner and turning down suspension work. That's just one of those bread and butter things that you can make easy money on. Bad business IMO

So I ordered the clamp-style adapter from BFI to use the knob I bought for my Jetta on my GTI. I'm thinking that maybe if I go to the dealer and sweet talk them, they'll give me the "revised" shift knob trim (since mine hasn't had that recall yet) -- anyone know if the trim comes with the boot? Then I can simply tie the new boot to the knob and call it a day, rather than screwing around with dismantling my current knob/boot too excessively.
e: nvm, am dumb -- 5G17134563DP is the part number they supply/replace, and it's just the "frame"/trim. So no shift boot, I suppose.
New tubafour?
True... there are some guys that are like this. Or they just want to be a dick because they didn't make all the profits on the parts too.Guy probably took one look at the pile of labeled cardboard boxes in my hatch and was like hell naw aint nobody got time to unbox all that.
