One time there was a dog running loose as I was returning to my friends house after going to the coffee shop.

The dog came running right at me and I could hear the owner yelling at me to try and catch him. So of course I try, but stupidly, really stupidly. I happened to be carrying 2 cups of coffee in a carrier but instead of putting it down to try to grab the dog I tried to grab his collar with one hand as he dashed by.

He was bigger than I thought, running faster too. Bent my elbow back the wrong direction, unbelievably painful. Better, I didn't even stop the dog. I had no health insurance back then so I just sort of swung my arm backwards until the joint popped back into place. After a day or so I could barely move my arm.

Eventually it got better but I have pretty bad arthritis in my elbow now from it, so it's been like a 20 year injury

Whats everyone's worst injury?

I've got a torn LCL right now, 3 herniated disks, my ribs still hurt from a jet ski accident in 2013, punctured a lung and broke 4 ribs, I've had surgery on my right shoulder twice for loose ligaments, causing an impingement of the nerves, and a permanent wrist injury from tennis. Oh and chronic cervical pain from a mountain biking accident.

In 2019 I dislocated my knee playing softball. Almost lost my lower leg due to damaging the artery that goes through the knee. Luckily they fixed it and I got to keep the leg. Lots of other damage, had to reconstruct ACL, LCL,and PCL.

Also caused nerve damage that never healed, I can't really feel my left shin and the top of my foot. The whole area is numb and tingly all the time. Couldn't walk without an AFO (brace for ankle/foot) due to drop foot. In 2021 I had a tendon transfer surgery, then had to relearn how to walk again. Now I can walk without the brace, although my balance is awful.

Total of 6 surgeries so far since it happened, but I'm happy to be walking and not in a wheelchair or anything else.

Y'alls stories are way better than mine.
It's probably concussing myself on a bike, head on pavement and found by a neighbor, no recollection.
That or tearing my meniscus while trying to hang clean 205.

Have sprained some fingers.
Ripped my big toe nail off running in flip flops when I was a kid.

I’m such an extreme dude.

Broke my ankle in 3 places running away from the z-wall at a Spartan race at Killington. Surgery, 12 pins and a plate.

Currently dealing with partial thickness humeral surface supraspinatus (rotator cuff) tear that’s been bothering me since April.

Dislocated my shoulder mountain biking last fall, I was trying to keep up with my fast friends. Then my buddy's brother drove my car (and rode the clutch) 2+ hours to the local hospital to get my shoulder reinstalled, had surgery a few months later but it's all good now thanks to lots and lots of PT

Not bad. I've broken ~20 bones or so, worst being my tailbone. Then my knee is going on 4 years of being jacked after I flipped a quad and it rolled over on me.

Oh and I cut my fingy last night
