CSB: About a decade ago, Hasbro briefly entered the building block arena with Kre-O, their attempt at Lego compatible building blocks. They had a bunch of sets based on Transformers, G. I. Joe, Star Trek, Dungeons & Dragons, etc... It was short lived, since nobody can compete with Lego. Honestly, I'm surprised Mega Bloks have lasted this long. Anyway, Hasbro had this huge old run down storage warehouse.

Upstairs, they had some shoddy sets where they would film TV commercials and promo shorts sometimes. But downstairs, it was like that storage warehouse from Raiders of the Lost Ark. I'm talking some stuff decades old that would give some collectors raging hard ons. And all just going to waste collecting dust. Anyway, I was there one day taking inventory of all the stuff that had to go to San Diego for Comic-Con one year, and they had rows and rows and rows, as far as you could see, of storage bins of Kre-O. And as a Lego guy, it was crazy to see. Could have spent all day in there playing.

Mega blocks made it because they are better for young children. It’s a gateway block to when they are older and get Legos.

agree but so far so good, its some sort of joint venture thing between hot wheels, lego and mega blocks but without the mega logo on the bricks i probably wouldn't have known

They also have the Orange 2704pc 911 GT3RS for like $80 that's been discontinued and is like $600 on eBay. Been meaning to pick that one up.

Probably just the lighting kit. I wouldn't go for any of the ones under the ~$40 price point, that's about what it goes for. If you buy one for $10, you're setting yourself up for disappointment.
