I would love that!!

There is no where to ride in DE, it suck’s balls.

The only place that isn’t too far away is NJ field of dreams or something like that.
Field of Dreams is nice, according to some of my friends. Haven't been down that way in a long time though. Budds Creek isn't toooo terribly far away.

i really need an intercooler.

Dumb Riceburner question time - do the MK6 TSI aftermarket intercoolers fit the MK5 FSI? The various companies seem to indicate that they are FSI/TSI specific but i can't really sell why thats the case.

Or, maybe the question should be, do the MK6 GTI and MK6 R use the same aftermarket intercooler & piping setups?

Does Jeff know?

mk5 and mk6 are same

I would suggest getting a treadstone one (they're rather cheap) and getting creative with the piping.

anyone got recommendations for a plug in soldering iron you can control the temps on?

Anything Weller. I prefer bench top ones

About 2.5 hours away. Buds Creek is strictly MX I think. The kids and I have ATV’s. NJFD has trials.

I liked the Hakko I used ages ago but Weller are supposed to be good too, idk I haven't soldered anything in ages though :/

I got one of these (photo stolen from a Google search) years ago when I was doing a lot of R/C car stuff. Ended up needing it a few times for the MKV as well (main one being relocating the LPFP controller that would overheat under the back seat). I don't think I'll get another one until it dies, but I also doubt they're available anymore haha.

like which one? idk i'm getting confused, it appears a lot of them are universal, but then i gotta get hoses. not decided to go FMIC with the 'twincooler' setup, just FMIC, or just replace the core with a bigger one, but thats neither here nor there.

The ARM one that I sent the link for is a solid option (I have it, but wouldn't buy it again, see below) if you don't plan on going above K04. It's rather small, so if you go for more power in the future, a Treadstone is usually the way to go (usually the TR8/TR8C).
They also dropped their competition FMIC which is very similar to a treadstone.
ARM are overpriced as hell.
Personally, FMIC > Stock location.

Get a Unitronic one on sale. It’s a nice IC and stealthy.
