I had a similar chair and I have burning hatred for them now. I'll never get a bucket seat for a computer chair again. I have no idea why they're so popular. I find them so uncomfortable.

I also kinda hate the chair I have right now. I bought one of those high end office chairs. It wasn't worth it. I usually buy a new computer chair every 2 years or so because I'm never happy with any of them. Eventually my back begins to reject the chair and I can't tolerate anymore, so I have to try something else.
Sparco makes lumbar pillows. I velcro'd one onto my racing Sim seat and my office chair. It's so much better.

It's not really too bucket-y. It has less bolster than the seats in the R.

Look at the Herman Miller chairs. They're usually regarded as the cream of the crop, gold standard of office chairs. Unless you already did and that's what you mean with "high end office chairs". The Aeron is usually #1 on "Best Computer Chair" lists. My old job went around and replaced all chairs with them, and I hated it due to the way I sit most of the time. I like to sit on my right leg, which is probably horrible for my posture, but whatevs. The sides of the seat the Aeron curve up, and made that impossible.

I have another buddy who spent like $1,400 on a HM Embody, and he swears by it. Haven't had a chance to sit in it yet.

Lunch will probably be a bag of buffalo chicken pizza rolls I picked up at the grocery store when I was hungry.

Lunch update: Buffalo chicken pizza rolls were alright, probably won't buy them again.

The last time I considered replacing my computer chair I started looking at lazy boys lol

If I could find one the right size for my desk I'd so do it...

A buddy of mine who also works from home bought the Embody and insisted I try it out.

It was a chair. Was it comfortable? Sure.

Was it $1,400 of comfort? I just don't see it. If anything I'd be furious I spent that money every time I sat in it. Then again I am a cheap bastard....

I've got a leather chair that I got from homegoods after we moved here. It's fine. At some point in the future I'll probably have the passenger seat from my GTI in here and I'll use the driver's seats for a future rig build. I can't keep mounting my logitech and all its various attachments to the coffee table.

The best way to be happier with your office chair is to get a standing desk (or platform). Chair always feels great if you're standing the first 3/4 of your day.
