Mk7 gti sport 6MT. 16500 miles, bought 6 weeks ago at 15k.

I just plugged in an OBDeleven for the first time and scanned, and a fault code for crank shaft desychronization popped up. My car runs absolutely fine, and I've never had a check engine light. Is this something that's safe to clear and see if it comes back, or should I take it to a dealer?

Welcome to the forum. I wouldn't worry about it unless it triggers a CEL.

Clutch feel weird at all? I would also pull your oil filter and look for any shiny flakes of metal within the pleats. Assuming the cars is a 16 or later I would take it in and get this documented. Would hate to see you become a victim of crank walk.

Clutch feels fine, everything drives entirely as expected. I looked again before clearing it, and based on the time it happened while I was leaving for work. RPMs were low 700, so I'm wondering if it just almost stalled as I was back up my driveway (I have a fairly steep decline from street to my garage) and threw an error. I cleared it and it hasn't come back, but I'll definitely check the filter next time I change the oil.
