Could use a hand identifying the source of this sound....

Notes:

Does not occur instantly on either cold or warm start.
Occurs after some driving time (5-10 min to get the result you see in the video).
Only occurs at idle / very low RPM.
Vanishes immediately when gas is applied.
Vehicle has roughly 100K miles - never had this issue before.
CEL is not on, nor does it come on when sound begins.
Does not seem to affect fuel economy, acceleration, or general vehicle performance. It is fuc**** annoying as hell.

Watch the video w/ sound here

Thoughts?

Everything I was able to find points to one of two things...leaky PCV or faulty ABS self test (was an Audi but same engine and same sound).

Morning Folks -

I was detained taking care of some sick ladies all weekend - I ordered the PCV and will install within the next few days, hoping that fixes the issue, and revert back.

Appreciate the notes here, both humorous and helpful :-D

Hope the PCV solves the problem and everyone feels better soon!

Gents - Felt I absolutely owed all of you a reply - sorry for the delay!

Replaced the PCV valve yesterday - solved the issue 100%!!!!

I'm actually going to replace the Ignition Coils today simply because they're super old, but the PCV did the trick. Smooth start, smooth idle, car running like a top now.

Thanks to all for the help! I guess we know if your car starting making gastro-intestinal-problem type noises, hit up the PCV first.

Best,

Chris
