Consolidated Macan Brembo upgrade thread (READ FIRST POST)

I also had never used a torque wrench on bleeders previously. Then it seeped at Road Atlanta 2 weeks ago. So I figured I would do it "by the book" this time around. Same result.
So you are saying you have tightened them and they still leak? Is it both or just one side and one caliper? I suppose it is possible you have some sort of defect in the bleeder screw or the caliber. Did you take it out and have a look? If you wedge something to hold the brake pedal down you can remove the bleeder screw and not have fluid drain out of the system. I find a 2x4 about 2' long works well slid under the seat.

So OP should scour though 50 pages to update the first post? 99% of the information is in the first post.
Well it is his post, so no one else can do it, and I imagine he is following his own thread. If it is done more or less as folks add information they would not have to scour all 50 pages and it would be relatively easy to do. It was sort of implied early on in the thread "Let us know if they fit and I'll update the wheel list." And currently it is far from 99% of the information.
Otherwise why bother posting it on this thread where the information just gets buried? So if they are not going to update the original post, from an information search perspective it would be a lot easier to find if everyone just made their own post with new information, way it is easier for others to find. Title it Macan caliper upgrade with XXXXX wheel fitment or whatever.
having it all in one spot is nice, but not when it gets above a certain size.
As someone that has read through hundreds of pages of big threads and thought there has to be a better way to do this, and also has a couple of big threads of my own, (not here, on VWvortex) I update the OP for the same reason. It does not take a lot of effort and is just a nice thing to do for others.

I did tighten the bleeder screw after it happened to me, and there was still a little more to turn. It didn't happen again.

You can edit the Forgestars... 2nd line down.

"18x9" +44 (effectively; it's a +50 offset wheel, but with a 6mm spacer)

18x8.5 Hypergrams +43: 10mm spacer definitely, 8mm spacer would probably work

I'm going to say Dekagrams would be similar fit.

Unless this was confirmed to be true, this post doesn't specifically reference the EXACT caliper referenced, it refers to an Audi caliper.

You might be right let me double check

Edit - My mistake but, it looks like they will fit with spacers

I received the parts here in Brazil this week. I haven't installed the full setup yet (my concern now is to solve a DSG issue...), but did a test with one caliper to check wheel clearance.
OZ Leggera ET48 18x8 cleared with 10mm spacer. OEM 17" will clear with 15mm.
@Aluizio which 17 inch wheel? Do you have a photo? Thanks!

Yes, it’s the same chassis. I have stock 19s on.

@crxgator which OEM wheel? Thanks

These are not the correct version FYI - the Q5 has two versions of these calipers. You need the ones with the space in the lower assembly:

Would it be possible for someone to measure from the edge of the rotor to the edge of the caliper face and tell me what it is?

Something like this:

Thanks!

Any help guys? Maybe someone could check while they are swapping pads..?

Thanks!

2.15".... estimated since the tallest part of the caliper isn't aligned with the rotor.
