Has anyone tried to fit Macan calipers behind OEM Charlestons? 18x7.5 ET51 part number 1K0601025AG I would guess they need a 10mm spacer like Austin or Dallas, but the back of the spokes are likely different. Would be nice to keep the OEM wheels on my Fahrenheit!

The longer engagement on first pedal application never went away, but otherwise the Macan calipers with 345 OEM Mk5/6 rotors have been great on GSW4Mo. Hard to believe it's been almost 3 years with them! For the price and pad availability I don't think there is a better DD/autocross friendly setup. I have very little unswept area, but with the EBC pad shape I run would overhang on 340 rotors.

The Macan calipers won't easily bolt up on anything before mk7. A lot of mk5/6 owners are using 17z or 18z brembos.

"Beefier" OE PQ platform options are 345x30mm FNR-G (57mm piston) sliding calipers from MK6 R and VR6 TT 8J, or TTRS 8J 370x32mm 4pot brembos

Macan don't fit in mk5's or mk6's though.

PQ35 and MQB knuckles share the caliper bolt spacing and offset. Sounds like you also need a Mk6R/TTRS master cylinder and possibly booster to take full advantage of them otherwise it's a plug and play.

Local yard had several Q5s and pulled the calipers, but can't guarantee 320mm vs 345mm. I know most 2.0T Q5s had the 320mm calipers while others had the 345mm ones like the 3.0T Q5s. You can measure the difference bolt offset, but I don't have one off the car to check at the moment. Is the easiest way to ID the 345 vs 320 the opening in the casting? It appears the rear casting shape is different at the pistons, but I don't want to rely on just that!

Yes. That little opening is the easiest way to tell with a quick glance.

Since I'll be installing Q5 calipers on my Mk5 next week I figured I'd do some test fit my various wheels on my GSW4Mo with Macans to see if any would fit or work for winters. The Canyons might fit if you ran a 7.5-8mm spacer with the 225/45R18, but for my liking they are too close to the spokes with the 5mm and too close to the fender with the 10mm. Non lowered cars might be fine. A 225/40R18 could also possibly solve this issue.

Scored some B6 A4 Cabriolet 17x7.5 ET45s that clear without spacers! Unsure of the name, but part number is 8H0601025A. B6/7 17x7.5s definitely seem to be the sweet spot for winter wheels for Macans!

Brake lines and dust shields get here today or tomorrow then it's install time! I ordered both Centric Ceramic and Semi-Metallic for science. Plan to snag some BlueStuff before too long.
