Oh geez here we go again.

I honestly have no idea whats going on in the US. Whats happening in LA?
Officer shot and killed a person in Skid row (Downtown LA).
Yes I completly agree. I didnt watch the video. How many of the officers were white or black? While the officer might have done the right thing according to their protocol I'm sure this is going to get blown way out of proportion here and has the potential to fuel some riots. [emoji19]
I agree. Thats why I dont watch US news. When my job is world news and monitoring them I no longer care for the small things in the US. The police brutality crap that is going on is getting out of hand. I have family in law enforcement and they are sick and tired of the police bashing. There are a few officers who are bad and its making the rest look like shit. It just so happens that with the technology today there is no way to keep everything clear cut. Someone can take a partial video or edit a video and destroy what could have been a clear decision. Also when citizens automatically hate the police and submit false reports and start going for badges before an investigation has even really began. No one can get a fair trial anymore. I think video evidence is a great thing when it shows the whole story. But when you dont get everything it just serves to complicate things. Thankfully I am not an officer and I know who my enemies are. Its much easier for us than them.Looks like most of the officers are light skin and there seems to be one black officer. The only thing I find clearly questionable is the amount of officers needed to subdue the individual but the rest is going to have to be subject to some thorough investigation in order to get the details right. It's unfortunate that it comes at a time when the general public is weary of law enforcement agencies and in a city where riots have already occurred. Frankly I sympathize with officers in general maybe even more than I do with the military ( don't get me wrong I'm in the military as well). With the military it's easy, we have a what I would call a clear enemy, terrorist cells, rogue nations etc but the police are basically now getting involved in what seems to or what is quickly approaching a civil war. It must be hard to have to fight the people you have sworn to protect.
If the officer and many of the witness accounts are correct I dont see anything wrong with what the police did. Its sad "Africa" lost his life. But if he did in fact reach for an officers weapon that shows intent to use deadly force and they are well within their rights to react accordingly.
I am not sure how 4 officers wer unable to apprehend 1 male suspect though. Especially after being tazed. I am curious to hear what the audio says when enhanced. And any other possible video evidence.
Drugs can do a hell of a lot of things, I'm not saying that drugs where involved but if that was the case that can explain why the tazer was not enough to help subdue the suspect. Reaching for a officers firearm is no joke and is justified for deadly force especially if the officer feels his life is threatened.
