I love this topic ...
I think VW is outdated. I love all the colors in some way and everyone has their preferences.
But why the hell VW need so many colors? 37 colors for the GTi this is absurd!
And more absurd is to pay 3000 euros for special tones.
When in reality the only colors that will sell massively worldwide are Carbon Steel Grey, Oryx White, Pure White, and Deep Black Pearl.
This applies to all brands of cars including premium.
As an example of this;
People who are buying Rolls Royce Ghost and Bentley Continental only choose in black, white, silver and gray. Are useless in Bentley 120 colors and Rolls 60 colors .
Suffice to have only 4 choices and even if the marks would sell cars; Metallic Black, White, Silver and Dark Grey.
You have to understand one very important thing, we are living in an era where only cars sold in neutral colors that are used in items such as mobile phones and iPads.
But the absurdity does not end there because VW has the largest color palette of the entire industry with over 300 colors among all brands.
And here in North America have always limited supply.
I know this information because I have followed the trends in the last 4 years.
