Cobb tuner?

Is it safe to have a Cobb tuner? I don’t want to ruin my warranty and not be able to have my car fixed for cheap...

Welcome to the forum. If you go to a dealer for powertrain related warranty work and you have tuned your car using the Cobb Access Port your car will be flagged and the warranty work almost for sure will be denied.

No. VW will know the ECU has been tampered with when the dealer scans your ECU. The dealer can't stop that from getting to VW. You could get a JB4 tuner from Burger Motorsports and remove it if you have to go to the dealer.
The JB4 is a piggyback tuner that doesn't flash the ECU. Link below.
