So how does this work? You plug it in and install the tune? Where do you get the tune? Can you get the tune on an Apple computer? Does the Cobb need to be plugged in to the car all the time? Once the tune is installed, do you need the Cobb anymore? Can you buy a used Cobb or are they locked to a certain VIN or car type? So many questions!!!

Yes Where do you get the tune? it comes preloaded with cobbs tunes and numerous vendors sell base and custom files Can you get the tune on an Apple computer? Pretty sure it’s windows only Does the Cobb need to be plugged in to the car all the time? No Once the tune is installed, do you need the Cobb anymore? Yes, it becomes married to your car and can be used to datalog as well as read and clear fault codes Can you buy a used Cobb or are they locked to a certain VIN or car type? As long as it’s the correct model and has been unmarried from the previous owners car So many questions!!!

additional unanswered question: It takes quite a long time to flash. So make sure you have a car charger that can handle the cars flashing load (roughly 20 amps) while you are flashing. You can handle it with less amps, but the battery will drain (just at a slower pace then if you had no charger at all).
