Clunking noise after rear sway bar install

Installed a used 034 bar with used end links. Got a lot of clunk, swapped out for new OEM endlinks. Some clunk gone but still a lot of clunk remaining. Issue sounds similar to those in here, on bumps, and slow uneven terrain. My shop thinks maybe getting new 034 sway bar bushings.

Could old bushings be causing clunking?
If not, would the next step be to put it under load, loosen everything, and tighten back down? I did install it on jack stands.

H&R sway bar = problem solved

No noises with their no maintenance bushings
I looked around and it seems that they are a "special" bushing. Its poly but on the inside there is a teflon coating that (I'm assuming) stops the squeaking of the bar and bushing rubbing together. The issue is that I already have an upgraded bar and can't seem to find just the h&r bushings sold separately.

Did you grease the bushings before putting them on? A little poly grease should do the trick.

Yea, i did. I even have mounts that have zerk fittings so i can grease whenever i want. That isn't helping either.

After a rear Whiteline 22mm swaybar install, a moderate, mild clunking occurred in what my hearing pointed was coming from the the rear suspension area. After the rundown of possible spots and checks, with a second opinion from a professional mechanic not to mention the replacement for a heavy duty links, I tried the fronts and ......

Walla.........!

A left front sway bar link nut has came loose.

Lesson learned: Underchassis noise/clank/mysterious sounds might come from locations most unsuspecting of. Sometimes, don’t discount the transfer of sound within the car.

Put the rear of the car on ramps or boards (something to raise it up/give you working room), loosen everything and THEN tighten/torque everything down
This worked beautifully for me after clunking when first installing as the 034 instructions (incorrectly) advised using jack stands. They should probably get this right as this is likely why people trash their sway bar more than others.
