Looks like Beepi did a sweet job shining it up for delivery! I'd be curious to hear how your experience with them was.

Does Beepi act as a middleman for the exchange of money or do they leave that to you?

Congrats on the new car!

Congrats on the new car!

I was skeptical of Beepi when I first came across the car on a Los Angeles Craigslist site and it went to the Beepi website. Honestly thought that it was a scam. After some research, I finally pulled the trigger. The car was almost $4000k cheaper than a local dealership in San Diego that was selling a car with more miles and didnt have the lighting package.

Working with Beepi was probably the smoothest and most honest transaction I have had for a car. I cant stand car dealership sales people. They drive me crazy (and I still emails from the ones that I was in contact with before beepi). With Beepi, everything was handled online, they show you everything about the car upfront and then the car was delivered even better than the original pictures (they got some of the paint scuffs out when they waxed it, refinished the tires to remove the curb rashes, changed out the front tires since they didnt meet their thread count requirements) and this was all stuff that I was unaware of when the car was delivered. Upon delivery he also told me that one of the key fobs wasnt working and that they would get everything setup for me to get a replacement. The beepi delivery guy showed me around the car to show me all the "dimples", we went for a test drive, I gave him my check, we shook hands and I was the proud owner of my car.

The only downside is that you cant drive the exact car that you are purchasing before you get it but if you know what you want, then it isnt a big deal. They also give you a 10 day no questions asked full refund return policy. I definitely wont be needing that!

Sorry if I rambled but overall it was a fantastic car buying experience that I would use again anytime to stay away from sales man and carmax.

The following has been completed:
- 18" MSR Wheels (Matte Black)
- VWR Springs
- Removal of the Rear Spoiler Vertical "Wing"
- Smart and Easy Magnetic Cell Phone Holder

Removing the rear spoiler vertical "wings" leaves a good amount of tape residue on the window. Anyone have any good cleaning solution that I can get to remove it fairly easily. Used Goo Gone and a hair dryer but it was still a PITA.

Pictures to follow this weekend!

Thanks!

When you get the roof wrapped in vinyl please let me know how the antenna was removed. I tried to wrap my roof but we couldn't get the antenna off. Very hard.

Completed the following today:
- Installed Scirocco steering wheel shift paddle extensions
- OEM VW Roof Rack + Inno Wind Fairing
- APe Dry Air Intake Filter + Removal of Rock Guard
- Rear Gloss Black GTI Emblem
- Front VW Gloss Black/Red VW Emblem
- Left/Right Gloss Black Fender GTI Side Markers
- Soundakator speaker disconnection

My 2 f-ups of the day:
1. Broke the front grille GTI Emblem Holder while removing it from the Grille. Need to order a replacement so that I can pull off the chrome GTI and replace with Gloss Black GTI like rear
2. Broke the Rear VW Emblem (specifically the black piece that is underneath it) while trying to remove. Need to order a new black piece before I can install the rear gloss black/red VW emblem (hence why there is no VW emblem on the rear of the car).

Request for Opinion:
1. Should I look into getting wheel spacers?
2. The black/red side markers has a different red than the car. Thoughts on mismatch? It is the same red that is in the gloss black/red VW emblems (hence, those dont match 100% either). Would definitely look better on a while GTI). Should I debadge side markers?
3. The red in the front/rear VW emblems dont match the red of the car. Should I replace them with gloss black instead of black/red (already installed the black/red VW emblem in the front and it looks ok).
4. Need to get black tuning lug nuts for my car (place where I got my wheels installed only had chrome).

Here are some pics that I look today... Need a car wash but will get one when I am done with more of the exterior work after this weekend.

Car looks great! Love the rack. Looking at picking one up myself. Hard to tell with the side markers how they look.

I'm thinking of getting vwr springs soon. How do they ride compared to stock?

Do you hear the turbo more now with the changes done to your intake?

Thanks for the compliments... Here are some more pics of the fender emblems and the front VW emblem.

Honestly, I cannot tell the difference in ride with VWR springs vs the stock springs.. probably because I didnt drive the car more than 30 miles with the stock springs on the car.

Also, havent had a chance to take the car out for a test drive after the intake mod. I am hoping that the removal of soundaktor and the intake mods (once all complete) will open her up a little bit.

More to follow...

Side markers look good. Keep em. .

I found my GTI to quiet after unplugging the soundaktor. It was all engine noise. I'll probably do the same as you if it ends up making a little bit of turbo noise. I also deleted the resonator and found a happy medium . It was just too quiet without the soundaktor and to loud with it on.

The sidemarker and emblem re contrast d is growing on me and I like the red/black contrast...

How did you delete your resonator? Is that the turbo muffler delete from CTS or APR?

Its the resonator between the downpipe and muffler. Take it to an exhaust shop and get them to cut it off and weld in a straight pipe. it will only add a little bit of sound but enough to make a difference.

here is what mine sounds like after I removed it.

Sounds great! Just enough in my opinion.
