Catless Downpipe Smoke

Hello all,

I just installed a Eurocode catless downpipe on my '15 GTI, and when I started it up for the first time, everything looked in order. However, after it sits at idle for a couple minutes, there is white smoke that comes out from where the DP and the turbo connect. I took the car out to drive, and there is no smoke while driving. Yet when I pulled over to check on the downpipe again, it started to smoke a few minutes after it was idling there. What is this issue and how do I solve it??? I would appreciate any help.

Did you make sure the gasket is still there? There is a gasket between the 2. May have come off and dropped. Should have replaced it anyways during the swap.

Do I have to order that gasket online or do local shops like NAPA or auto zone carry it?

Doubt they carry it. Got mine off amazon, but it was a 3rd party seller (AKA a dealer). Dealer would have it.

Also, is your clamp still tight?

Ok, I'm headed to a dealer now. And the clamp is tight but I will recheck it later, I may have just not tightened it enough or somehow fitted it wrong?
