Hey guys,
So I'm not sure if this is an issue with my car, my phone hardware, or the fact that I'm running the iOS 12 Public Beta. Maybe someone else here can help my troubleshoot. I have a 2018 R, DSG and use CarPlay with an iPhone 8 running the iOS 12.0 Public Beta. Every time I hit the driving mode button to change from Sport to Eco, etc, CarPlay disconnects momentarily as if I've unplugged my phone and plugged it back in. I suspect there's a power surge happening or an intermittent loss of power. It also happens when I shift from Drive to Park, but NOT when I pull the shifter back for sport shifting.
Unfortunately I can't isolate the variables as all three of these happened at the same time: I plugged my phone into European 220V power, upgraded to the public beta, and also had my car baking in 35C heat for a week at the airport Park n Fly.
Can anyone else replicate this?
