2018 CPO with people's warranty is another option in the bucket :)

i went this route after considering the likelihood of prior hoonage/abuse. I didn't consider the following: DSG, a car with ANY mods, and mileage higher than 10k. I did find my used 2019 R with 6.9k used from a local dealer for a good price. I did ask a local VW dealer to run a VIN check to see if it was still covered under full b2b warranty issued, which it was (6yr/72k miles from in-service date). I also asked the major Tuning companies out there to run a VIN check to see if the car had been tuned with their software (negative on that). It took a while of searching since i was in a particular situation where i was selling a vehicle that was also new and that i knew i was taking a hit. I just wanted to reduce that hit as much as possible while getting into a car i've been lusting over for quite a while.
