Buying a used Mk7, 1.2TSi vs 1.4TSi vs mileage

I'm looking to trade in my 2009 Golf Estate 1.9 TDi for a 2013/14 petrol Mk7 around the £7.5-8k mark.
On AutoTrader some lower mileage 1.2TSi models sell for similar price to higher mileage 1.4 TSi models.
Is the larger unit worth going for? Or better to prioritise lower mileage?

The 1.4lt was available in two main power outputs...122/125PS in SE trim spec & the 140/150PS only in the higher GT trim spec....or the "R-line" spec

The 1.2lt was in the lower trim specs..

Also before you buy any I strongly suggest you buy a vcheck report on the car as HPI & most dealers won't do full background checks & there are quite a few clocked & crashed/repaired out there even in SE spec Mk7 Golfs...
