Well this was a fun first for me.

500 miles into break-in, about 90% "city" driving (about as city as it gets where I live) so I decide to do a 2nd gear pull getting onto the highway. Get a lot of traction control intervention which was unusual, followed by a bunch of lights, an EPC, and limp mode. After pulling over, turning it off, turning it back on, turning off and back on again, it drives fine. No lights.

Got back on it again later but was maybe too scare, nothing logged so I assume I wasn't on the gas, only got to 11psi. Assume I wouldn't see that much boost if there was a blown coupler or something.

Cant' tell why though. Didn't overboost, didn't over rev, fuel pumps seem fine, no knock, but cylinder shutdown.

OK, happened again. Same deal, highway 2nd gear pull starting around 3.5k rpm. I'm just lighting the tires on fire, traction control goes bananas and then it shuts down. I don't see anything wrong in this log so I'm inclined to believe 2nd gear pulls just aren't my cars bag.

Furthermore, I got the car re-started and promptly did a 3rd gear pull with great success. Soooo, no worries??

Conditions were pretty ideal:

61 degrees
0% humidity
Shop is at 203' of elevation

Pertinent details on the car for anyone too lazy to look back:

Full E85 (simostools was reading E76)
Standard Vortex (32psi)
18 degrees of timing
Trackslag 4" catted DP to AWE exhaust
IE Open intake
Ringer Stage 5 clutch w/SMF
Autotech HPFP, RS3 LPFP, Precision Raceworks MPI kit with 925cc injectors, fuel lines and ethanol sensor.

Really happy with the numbers. I wasn't chasing a number, this was more for fun, but it was cool to surprise everyone in the shop with what a little GTI could do. I must've deleted one of the logs, but the log from the first run is linked below and the graph of both runs is attached. Youtube link is the second run.

Also - shoutout to Kalam @ Russell Road and Racing. Not only did he tune it on SimosTools so he gets all of the credit anyway, but I haven't spoken to the man in 5 months. We were having a whale of a time getting TC to stop interfering to the point where we almost gave up before we got any pulls in but I threw a hail mary and shot Kalam an e-mail to see if he had any idea. I had a revised "Dyno friendly" version of my tune 2 minutes later, with out the TC patch that was on the original. Then, he asked for the logs and the dyno graph to see if there was anything else he could get out of my set up. Helluva guy!

This is perfect for me to keep track of.....I won't have the lpfp or vortex, but can't wait to see how my 2260 and MPI on E looks like in comparision. Those are killer numbers!

"Leaned it out a smidge so target lambda is 0.84 instead of 0.81/2 and took a degree or so ignition out up top and a couple of degrees off the intake cam.

Also pushed the boost up an extra PSI in map slot 5. We are probably at the very edge of whats efficient already but it might be whats needed just to tip it over the 5XX."

Dunno if we'll see a dyno again, but maybe we're making 500 now

Thats a standard Vortex? Holy hell I would be very happy with that.

Also, your car sounds like my car.

Those are some really solid numbers! Have you done any 60-130 runs with this setup?
