Map5 seems to be targeting 32psi of boost and the boost comes on sooner, like Map4. 15 degrees of timing up top.

This was after 5 more gallons of E85 which brought the mix up to E61. I'm sure I could continue to top off daily and inch it ever so slightly higher but realistically this is probably max E content for my area right now. Log is below. Slight TC intervention because there is not a smooth paved surface in this godforsaken state.

Love to hear it.

Latest revision is adjustments to fuel trims. Trying to see if I can get anymore boost / timing out of map5 without hurting it. Also going to get NLS and Launch Control set up. And then that might be it for tuning.
One of these days I'm gonna buy you some Conshy Seafood Co and in return I want a ride in this thing lol

So it sounds like we're keeping boost levels where they are. Minor adjustment to timing through mid and upper range topping out at about 16 degrees (compared to about 5 degrees on a good day on 93). I was able to get E content up to E75 so fuel trims should be dialed in nicely across the board no matter what mix I run in the future. Got some other goodies set up as well, so the story goes....

Map 1 = 1.75bar (25psi)
Map 2 = 1.85bar
Map 3 = 2bar
Map 4 = 2.1 bar
Map 5 = 2.2 bar (32psi)

NLS is active in all map slots over 4000RPM and more than 70% throttle.

Launch control is active in all slots (1st gear boost is reduced to 1.6 bar in all maps) and the launch RPM is 3800RPM.

Rolling anti-lag is also active on the SET button in slots 3/4/5. Between 2500-4500RPM hold SET and go WOT.

Gonna flash this latest update and try some of these out on the way home, except the launch control because my clutch hates me enough as it is).

Speaking of which, I still need a new clutch.

Car is still running great. My custom EQT tune was way more knock happy than this tune, I can rip around no matter how hot it is and I see very little knock, if any. And that's on 93, so apples to apples. E85 is a whole other level. Also the small oil leak I had seems to have stopped itself so that's chill.

Going to go with a Ringer Stage 5 with SMF in a month or two to replace the cutch I have. It doesn't slip often but it slips often enough that I want to replace it and we'll just go as big as we can. I'd like to dyno the car in October when it's cooler so want everything set to jet by then

Also ordered a Zen Carbon Fiber (AliEx) carbon fiber steering wheel today because I was bored. TYS

Got my wheel via Zen Carbon Fiber as well, can't wait to see how yours comes out. I'm happy with mine, mildly wishing I'd done the LED option but it's nice and fairly subtle.

The LED option does look cool but I think it requires a reading from something that uses the OBDII port? I wanted to keep that open. Plus flashing lights in front of my face wouldn't be good for my ADD. It's bad enough I have ten SimosTools menus to stare at all of the time.

Posting this here since it's been a while. Had a pretty big knock event on the drive home but don't really see anything wrong so hoping it's just bad gas? Plugs are on the newer side. Saw > 5.5 deg pull on all cylinders near the end of the log, almost 7 deg on two (I was not doing a pull, just being an asshole on the highway). Maybe we just need to run E all the time.

The shop kept putting 0w20 in the car while we were chasing oil leaks so since it's been 4-5k miles we're going to change back to Liquimoly 5w30, in unrelated news.

Steering wheel is in, and installed.

Wheel looks and feels great. I'm underwhelmed by the carbon fiber trim. It does not fit perfectly, but it fits well enough I guess. The cutout for the "GTI" logo at the bottom is also too small so the GTI logo doesn't fit right. It does look better than swapping over the original silver trim though, it gets marks for that.

Had a bunch of faults from disconnecting the battery / unplugging everything. Tried to clear them all with OBDeleven but some would not clear. Still have TPMS, ESC, front-assist and steering wheel angle lights / faults and am hoping they go away at some point. Not sure what I could've messed up, everything is plugged back in and works.

Start the car. Turn steering wheel all the way left then all the way right. Most lights will go out. Clear any remaining codes after via OBDEleven
