Brake fluid color - new vs old

Just flushed my brake fluid (2015 GTI) using the pressure tank method, and I couldn't see a difference in the color of the new vs old. I was expecting the old (almost 4 years) to be much darker. It was darker in the catch bottle, but not in the clear tubing. I used Bosch LV fluid. Is this because I have a manual tranny and drive an commute with little braking?

Shouldn't discolor that much unless you're having high braking temperatures, corrosion, or rubber break down.

Thanks! Should I measure volume at each wheel next time? Like rear passenger 300ml, rear driver 250ml, front passenger 200ml, front driver 150ml?

Also, are there any colored LV fluids?
