Brake dust problem

wondering is anyone else experiencing the annoying brake dust problem I have..
I wash the car & after every drive, black specs are all over the side of the car & all over the wheel, which has to be break dust. It continues everyday.
It's like you were cleaning a chimney with no covers & had the car in the same room!
Had put it down to new brakes, but at 7 weeks old& 3000k I'm sick of it:mad:So annoying both in getting it on your clothes & the unsightly look of it :(..
Only thing I done with it is apply G-Technique G1 to the wheels & C1 to the body, which does stop the dust from sticking to the surfaces...

any ideas ??

Replied to you on another thread, got nothing to do with the tyre gel, has to be the material with the pads. You ceramic coatings on wheel will help you to clean it easier! Saw another merc suffer same problem with ceramic coat on wheels heavy brake dust even after 1 day wash. Anyway are you a detailing enthusiast? Not here long enough to see any yet! I am one !

Redpaddy could be right. He refers to tyre gel, not alloy coating. I never apply tyre maintenance products (prefer not to mesh with compounds that helps my car grip). But the other day the car wash gay forgot that I said "do not apply anything in the tyres" and after a 400km in hot weather there were black spots all over the tyres and sides of the car like tar. It wasn't tar. Never had heavy brake dust issues (in the PP at least), just normal amount of it.

Yes bear807, i like detailing .......
I washed the car today and didnt apply the tyre gel, so will see in the next few days what happens...
Brake dust is a given, i've no problem with that..i think maybe the ACC is using the brakes a little more than manual driving where you'd ease off the throttle rather than brake to keep your distance......the gtechniq makes the wheels & car simples to clean....

Great great! Good to know there is people who likes detailing here! Would like to know your outcomes but I think is really not related to the tyre gel! We shall see :)
