Lots of posts on UTube regarding this problem quite a few showing my problem which was the boot lid drain tube grommet wearing out and going back inside the boot lid, allowing all the water through the opening badge down into the boot floor !
All the posts informed you to take out the four tork screws from the bottom of the lid and proceed to remove ALL of the surround trim from the boot lid, NOT necessary, undo the four torks
pull down the main trim till you can access tube with your hand and replace by feel, took 15 minutes. Parts £5.23p. VW WANT £60 investigation fee, one hours labour at £144.00 per hour minimum, and parts. You do the math!!
