Sorry for the stupid question... what is FBO?

What would be a safe boost level for a car with intake and catted full turboback exhaust on 91 octane? What estimated HP and torque would one expect?

FBO = Full Bolt Ons

Not sure what "full" entails, but I believe he includes at least intake and down pipe.

Full bolt on means that you have all performance parts that are available that can just be "bolted" on. Intake, down pipe, exhaust.

The only problem I have with my JB1 is that it did not come with a Burger Motorsports sticker. I wanted one for my 32oz water bottle lol

What no sticker?! I heard that's at least worth 10hp! :p

Congrats on being the first one here to get the JB1 installed! I look forward to hearing more and will have to live vicariously through others until I get mine!

George,

Whats the max boost target in 4th gear on map 2? My P3 gauge is showing 18.5 psi and that seems a bit low (or not?)

Congratulations to George & Terry on the release of the JB unit; having used the JB4 on my BMW 135i I know the potential and have high hopes for the EA888 application.

Quick question/suggestion for George re setup... is this unit P&P from the moment you get it, or do you have to set the boost level even on Map 1? Perhaps consider posting some screenshots showing exactly what is required to get up and running / to change particular settings.

I'm currently running a near stock 2015 S3 but given I have access to 98RON (equivalent to 93RON I believe), I should be OK to utilise Map 2 on this unit?

From what I've read, I assume I'll need the interface & cable to 'set & forget' the car to Map 1 along with any boost setting (again, +5.5psi from what I've read). Hoping that when Map 2 is released, the boost can be set a bit lower so I can still take advantage of the more aggressive mapping without having to go FBO.

I hope all the documentation & instructions will be kept up to date with this product, while the JB4 for BMWs was epic and direct support from Terry was always fantastic... I found the information online was not managed in the best manner. This becomes particularly important when things like steering wheel controls become available - removes a lot of guesswork :p

Keep up the fantastic work, and THANK YOU for giving us a product that ticks so many boxes :D

Right out of the box Map 1 is ready to go. I know that much.

4th gear is awesome lol just got done running her hard. I am using 93 octane with no bolt-ons so, tomorrow I am going to hook up the laptop and give it a little more boost.

Mods in signature now, PM me if you have any questions about anything installed, I did all the work myself.

If they have a windshield banner, 40whp easy and that is being conservative lol

Thanks man.

Map 1 is ready to go without needing the cable. The base map setting is +4.75psi and its suitable on the S3 to run on 91. You going to want to increase this too +5.25 when you run 93 and see how the car feels, if you feel it hanging slightly at the top just lower it slightly. This is preferred so the car can run consistently during the heat of the day and night.
Once map two is released you can run the setting we going to recommend at the time for the more aggressive curve with 91. Again you can work with the psi even in map 2 to what is suitable to 91 and 93.

The reason the JB4 has not been released is I decided to rather do a completed unit without the need of the add on's we saw on the N54. I like to do things systematic and the last thing I want is to expect someone to evolve via the development stages knowing each step that happened in the years that went past. The great thing is that most the work has been done on the BMW's so its basically piggy backing on that platform.

I have screenshots on page 1, not sure if everyone can see them?

George,

Sorry to keep bugging you, just really excited here.

With 93 octane and the mods below in my signature I want to set Map 1 to use +5.5 instead of +4.75 correct?
