Need to replace my rear shocks and had questions about Bilstein B6 shocks
1. Will it raise the ride hight?
2. Will potholes and road imperfections be felt more?

1. Ride Height is typically determined by springs. You should not see any notable increase in the ride height with B6 shocks alone.
2. The B6 is considered a sport shock. There will be an increase but nothing that should hold you back.

I haven’t tried them with stock springs, but based on experience with the B8’s which have the same valving, the B6’s should actually be more comfortable than the stock units. They may be marketed as a sport damper but are pretty tame all things considered. Also look at the Koni special actives if you are keeping the stock springs.

B6's used to be classified as Heavy Duty or Sport.

Heavy Duty's stayed as B6
Sports became B8

The high pressure on the monotubes means you may feel more imperfections of the road compared to twin-tubes.

Depending on who you talk to, some at Bilstein say B8's, while having a shorter shaft for lowering springs, are also valved for a more aggressive compression and rebound profile than B6 HD.

To follow up
Installed rears last year, it did raise it up about 5mm and stayed up.
Installed front over the weekend and it raised also. Now level.
Ride is firmer but I feel less road imperfections
Looks and drives great! Very pleased.

Thanks for following up! I've been considering going this route and also getting 245/40 tires on 18x8.5 wheels for better ride quality + grip

Could you post a couple pics of what your car looks like with the new shocks + stock springs?

Thanks for the info about b6 + stock springs actually raising the ride height. I'm getting ready to replace stock shocks and I prefer the ride height to stay the same or at the very least only a slightly drop. I think I may go with Koni Special Active, no one has confirmed that they raise the ride height or not so I'll take the gamble.
