I see that ECS sells a reasonably priced BBK from a CC vr6 4-motion. They are 345mm. Since the PP brakes that are 340mm will clear 17-inch wheels, will the extra 5mm make this kit too big for aftermarket 17-inch wheels?
If you're serious about going to a BBK, then you should REALLY consider this kit from Stoptech. I have lots of experience with Stoptech BBKs.
I have used them on my BMW for over seven years for both street and track without any problems at all. The pads can be changed in about 5 minutes per wheel and the pad choices are tremendous. Not to mention the calipers are supper stiff because they're forged. They are built for track abuse and will last forever.
I'm not sure, but I think Jegs has the incorrect price for this kit. This kit is usually over $2K with the two piece rotors. The price they have listed is usually for the one piece rotor. The part number Jegs has listed is for the two piece rotor. I'd jump on this quickly before they fix the error. http://www.jegs.com/i/StopTech/315/...224362047431&gclid=CPS38OWZ384CFVFahgodVTgLBQ
At a slightly lower price point than the Stoptech is the Brembo 330mm BBK. It's a one piece rotor, so it's not as light, but may be more durable for a DD. Works well at the track.
