Audi TT MK3 seats

I'm trying to gather information to see if fitting 2016+ Audi TTS seats are possible?
Sitting in a TT I realized I like the seats a lot and that most importantly THEY ARE POWERED... and have the seat release to push forward to accommodate the rear seats.

I assume that they'd bolt in no problem, but I can't find any thread or documentation with anyone performing this with both a MK7 Golf and a MK3 TT.

Probably hasn't happened. I also imagine it's not going to be any different than fitting any other similar size MQB seats into a similar sized MQB.

My plan of attack would be get a VIN for a TT (the one you sat in or find one for sale on a car site). I would subscribe to Erwin for a day or three. Download all the schematics for your VIN and the TT VIN.

From there you can compare the wiring. The connectors are probably different but you'll know if they get the same signals, which is very likely. That will let you plan the wiring changes needed.

I would personally get on eBay and try to find some used golf seat harnesses. Then you could modify the wiring on the Audi seats only. That way you don't touch anything on the car side and in the event you got rid of the car for any reason you could throw your stock seats back in and keep/sell the TT ones.

In any case, you'll need to swap the passenger side under seat module over from your original seats.

I’m unfamiliar with Erwin? I assume this is a repository of wiring schematics?

And I guess I’ve never looked hard enough or noticed, but what is the passenger underseat module? Is it related to the power seats? Both my current seats have zero power.

The under seat module is for the airbag system, it's there whether or not you have power seats.

Erwin is the official VW site for schematics and any other maintenance/informational documentation you could ever want... on-line shop manuals if you will.
You can create an account and then subscribe (1 day, 3 days, a month, etc.) and then download the manuals you need/want in PDF form.

After doing some looking for some TTS seats, I think I vastly underestimated even a USED pair of seats cost...

I will have to subscribe to Erwin though, seems like a great resource to tap into for many things.
