Some measurements from my wagon. Ineresting in that the front is "in" the jounce/bump stop for 100% of the compression travel as I suspect many cars are w/lowering springs.

If you don't mind I've compared your table to my measurements, found one difference. The block height of the jounce bumper is 14mm at 5kN = 21% of its original length. That changes max travel, and the droop to bump travel.

With measurements I've made on my car and w/ ride height of 345mm (Center of wheel to fender) you are 16mm "sitting" in your jounce bumpers. You could make it better if you shorten the jounce bumper a little bit.

That rear motion ration is quite a bit off of the ~0.64 most are using and could the difference between droop and compression travel would account for the delta?

The answer is self serving as I'm waiting on parts to put a 350lb linear rear spring on my sportwagen to implement some flat ride and this change to rear MR would really throw a wrench in my plan.

I expect there to be a little bit of an error the way I guesstimate it . The numbers w/ my new rear R springs and 034 top mounts: Body 430 extended, 352 ride height. Spring 222 extended, 165 ride height. 57/78=0,73 if my math is right. Tape measure it on your car to compare it.

I don't doubt your measurements. I had measured the lever lengths to confirm those measurements others made but i don't know if anyone did it more proper like you have.

I'm wondering if the motion ratio changes over the travel, 0.74 full droop to ride height and ~0.65 from ride height to full compression.

I'll have to pull the spring and measure prior to installing my linear rate springs.

Has anyone put Audi s3 springs on a golf r before?
Ive been searching for aftermarket springs that dont lower the car but are stiffer and they dont exist. Eibach pro kit which offers the least drop are softer than oem.
My brother has a 2018 s3 and I’ve measured the wheel gap between cars and they are almost identical, the rear is maybe a couple of mm lower. The s3 spring rates are much higher and there are alot for sale used that i can pick up for 100$.

S3 spring rate: 310 front 360rear
Golf r: 195 front 245 rear

Have you looked into Swift Springs? I see people referring these - mostly for Coilovers I think, but they might have options.

Coilover conversion kit apparently they can do custom spring rates. You can even spec a helper spring?

This has always intrigued me.

I've used Ground control stuff on other cars before, and have been pleased with them. it's a great way to get adjustable ride height with off-the-shelf shocks/struts, and pick the rates you want. I was actually planning on buying the rear GC kit, just to be able to lower the back a little bit to be even with the front.
