Bought this car in August 2017. Great little ripper.

I remember honestly being tweaked out how fast it was in a straight line on tighter roads. I came from the below MK4 1.8T Jetta. Which was decent. Previous car was a 1994 Honda Civic EG8 with a JDM B16A1 swap. Thing rev'd to the moon and made some power, but the only "car" with torque I had in the family was a 5-cylinder Volvo 850 sedan. Also a great car.

First Day Home:

Kind of normal. Honestly had no idea what I was holding.

I always wanted a FA20. Couldn't bring myself to own a CVT. And honestly my wife would have not been happy about a CVT. She had a Chevrolet Malibu that had a bit of torque. A DSG was the only middle-ground...

So the GTI won over the AllTrack. And I liked the Alltrack...

Felt fast. Yeah about that...Such a great car compared to so many stock vehicles. The GTI should get so much more attention for the price.

Well not in 2022 lol. But hopefully things calm down a bit in the market.

This is the weekend after we bought the car. We drove the Focus cause roof rack. Still got a speeding ticket. But on the way back. Prego Wife = no points lol. Thanks to the local authorities. I was going 70 in a 55. Big peanut is sitting here right next to me. She is rad. Slow down lol. 4.5 year olds are some of the best people you can converse with on the daily.

That is legit an IRL team truck. I drive I-80 every day for about 3 miles. Get to see some cool race teams crossing the country.

This is around the time I started to realize that I needed an IC before anything else.

Luckily @AlienSP had a stock location Majesty unit for sale. Nabbed it from him. Then ignored it for about a month because my wife was gonna freak when I tore the entire front end of our first car apart.

8/25/2022 edit: shit still works. IATs are better than a lot of more expensive ICs. IC Lottery.
