After I noticed a piece was loose and the armrest just uncontrollably would slide forward and back, the ratchet feature is now broken and it will just stay shut and I can't open it. I tried removing just the lid because that's the only part that is damaged, the metal poles are detached that it slides on, but there is a step that I can't get to where I need. I used this video for reference, but it starts at a step that I can't get to and have a fear of breaking the trim.
If there is no way for me to replace just the lid, it looks like I will have to replace the whole mechanism which is annoying since I would like to keep my original parts. Anyone come across this issue? I have searched and just can't find anything. This is the part I will likely need to buy if I can't just replace the lid. If anyone can send me some of their knowledge my way, it would be a huge help
