Are all downpipes created equal?

Unitronic Stage 1+ and Stage 1 DSG tunes

Going to Stage 2 and Stage 2 DSG in March

Already have Unitronic Intercooler

Should I just go with Unitronic downpipe to keep it all the same?

Or what are your thoughts?

Thank you

Brand loyalty means nothing, you can mix and match no problem

I’m happy with my cts, the important things are catted and 304L. AWE and Neuspeed make nice stuff but not everyone wants to pay 1k for a dp

Or an o2 spacer...I have a $5 parts store “o2 fouler” pre cat and still don’t get a CEL.

Just because it’s “CEL free” doesn’t mean that’s the only way

AWE is CEL free without any extra spacer. Also, who said it's the only way? Not everyone is lucky as you with the cheap spacer mod that works. So, if CEL is important to OP, he will pick either buy AWE and forget, or buy others and try spacers and hope they will work. (Based on several threads here, spacers are very tricky and needs a lot of adjustments and a lot of them still fail to prevent the CEL)

If you don't want a CEL, go with AWE.
If you don't mind CEL, pick whatever you like.

This doesn’t seem like that, but yeah there’s plenty of options

It looks like Urotuning as the best price for AWE @ $1395 (non-resonated)

And the NEUSPEED one is pretty consistent @ $1,199.95

They are the most expensive because the NO-CEL guarantee?

There's no CEL concern, he's running a real tune not a JB4. Doesn't matter what DP is on it, it's not going to throw a code.

Deciding whether you want a high flow cat or catless will be the biggest factor in this decision.
