Last Saturday I received my APR DTR6054 Turbo Kit from Sean Kirk (itsnotstock.com)
I placed my order Friday and got the Turbo Kit directly delivered via UPS from APR. Wow, that was lightning fast :D

Currently I'm waiting to get new Spark Plugs, Engine Oil from FCP Euro and the APR Compressor Outlet Hose Conversion Kit (MS100213) delivered.
Probably starting with the install by end of this week, and have it finished up by next week.
Then going to get the tune flashed to the ECU.

Last night I fitted my recently received COBB ABS Module Heatshield (Part# 5V2400) with my ARM downpipe.
The ARM Downpipe has a very tight fit (bend radius) to the ABS module. But luckily now I can confirm that the COBB heatshield fits the ABS module with ARM DP on is20.

Question that may have been asked but too many threads... If we opt not doing HPFP/LPFP initially, can this be done later on? Assuming it requires a different tune? OR, was HPFP/LPFP upgrade a requirement that I didn't see listed?

Per what I read it was recommended to upgrade intercooler and clutch if MT. Otherwise no additional supporting hardware?

APR doesn't offer a tune for the GTI with expanded fueling. So if you wanted to add a HPFP/LPFP or MPI later on, you would have to get a completely different tuning solution.

The fueling upgrades are only for the R/S3/TTS platform vehicles. They can be added later but must be the components we sell for compliance.

Gotcha. I must of went through your options too quickly and didn't notice I had the kit selected for R model. So no need for HPFP/LPFP with GTI? Just 1500 buck kit, then recommended to have intercooler upgraded and clutch (for MT)? That sounds too easy...

Drive train loss. GTI is pushing power to only 2 wheels, R is pushing power to all 4.
Except when the rear wheels arent engaged which should be almost all the time right

What kind of hp would just the turbo kit ($1500) produce (after APR software flash of course) if car is aftermarket intake, turbo inlet elbow, catted dp, exhaust, and big stock location IC w/bigger charge pipes (Mishimoto setup), one degree colder plugs and OEM coils? My fueling setup is stock.

Thanks in advance.

He's not going to answer you because this setup has only been tested on factory downpipes for emissions compliancy. You'll have to buy it and let us all know haha.

20-30hp depending on how "catted" the DP is. almost none of that makes a difference <500hp besides the DP/IC.

Right- dont make it easy for me- someone who looks at specs and data before deciding best bang for the buck.

They can't test every possible combination of mods, nor should they. You rattled off 7 custom mods. Can't really expect them to account for that... Plus, a dp may not be emissions compliant, which is their stated goal.

Yeah, I would say , they give a baseline and from there you do your own testing or make up your own assumptions. If a stock dp makes x HP with turbo+tune, you imagine an A/M would make more, however I'm not sure how that is even possible if the tune is not for an aftermarket DP...
