APR Downpipe install

Ok so I've got a little bit of an issue with my downpipe installation. The V Band looks awful and I tried getting it straight but this is the best I could get it. Has any one else had problems with this installing their downpipe? I'm waiting on APR to send my my Universal Catback Pipe kit so I'm not driving it right now because it's loud as hell not hooked up to my AWE Track Exhaust. I don't have any tools at home so I gotta wait until the pipe kit comes in so then I can get the tools to straighten the V Band and attach the downpipe to the catback. I'm just looking for any tips to getting this V Band on straight! Thanks

Thats not even hooked up, looks like the gasket is exposed, the pipe needs to seal to the turbo with the gasket in between.

I've done 5 GTI downpipes and never had an issue aligning it at the turbo.

Ok I'll have to try it again when I get to the Air Force base, I'm not even driving it until I can get it there to work on.

I got it figured out and it's properly installed now. I borrowed an Allen key from my buddy. It wasn't even hooked up correctly like you said. It had to be lifted up higher to meet the lip on the Turbo to fit flush. I've got it now so I'm just waiting on the catback fit kit so my car can sound normal again. Thanks for your help man.
