Anyone running stage 2 on a stock clutch?

If so, how many miles has it held up? Just curious.
apr stage 2 q/ agressive crackle since 1400 miles at 15000 and not a single problem its been down the track a good 30 times no issues. runs 14.9 quarter mile at 99mph

I was running Stage II for about over a year, and sadly, I forgot to put the mileage at of the install. I'm sure I can dig through old invoices and find that. Probably around 20-30,000 kms.

Most vendors allow for 'low torque' tunes, to preserve your clutch if you ask them. I was running a 'low torque' recommendation from BM on my JB1. It was running fine until I decided to upgrade my clutch, and my wife learning standard put the nail in the coffin on that clutch...

Went with the Ringer Racer clutch (~$600 and good for 575 lbs-ft) /w OEM Flywheel (~$250 off the forum), cranked up the boost and with the money saved on the SMF options, threw in a Wavetrac. Spent extra on the thrust bearing 'fix'. Absolutely love the set-up and it feels like stock. How long will this clutch last? Time will tell, got it installed in January.

You're running 14.9s in 1/4 mile on stage 2 software? That seems really slow.
I accidentally ran a 14.59 @ 73.8 when testing 0-60 a few weeks back. Literally just coasted after hitting around 85mph.

Edit: I see you're a GTI... my mistake, just assumed R since we're in the R discussions.

I ran stg2 HT files on my 15 GTI for about 20K on stock clutch before it was totaled. Currently sit at 25k on stage 2 HT file on my 16 golf R and run e30 quiet often. I've had a clutch on standby for over a year, but the R still is holds power IF I'm nice to it.
I will be installing below parts on the R within the next month or so, so the stock clutch will have to go. I'm interrested in seeing how the clutch looks after all the abuse.

APR MPI 980 cc kit
Vargas GC turbo
Euro Intake Manifold for MPI
trackslag 4 ich catless DP - (replacing my current IE catted DP)
Mishimoto IC and Boost pipes

Upgraded Clutch kit - OEM DMF, Iabed RMS, Sacks 4 puck, OE TOB
